Six London Underground stations and one above ground site were sampled for the bacteria and fungal air spora over a two month period. Results were analysed for counts at different sites and times. Whilst time was found not to be a significant factor affecting fungal counts, counts at deep underground stations were found to differ significantly from those of the above ground site. Bacterial counts were found to vary with time and location.
