Education has long been considered to be the quick fix to improve clinical practice and is routinely recommended in most clinical audits and ser vice reviews. Yet, despite an exponential rise in tissue viability education since the 1990s, there has not been the anticipated changes in clinical practice and no conclusive evidence to support the assumption that education improves wound management.
